DESCRIPTION:Furies Collective members outside their DC rowhome.\nFor Pride Month\, Dr. Megan Springate will give an overview of current LGBTQ+ preservation in the United States and the importance of preserving and remembering LGBTQ+ spaces\, places\, and history. She will then focus on DC’s LGBTQ+ history and sites\, followed by a Q&A session. \nDr. Megan Springate received her PhD in Anthropology from the University of Maryland. She edited and contributed to the award-winning publication\, LGBTQ America: A Lesbian\, Gay\, Bisexual\, Transgender\, and Queer Theme Study for the National Park Service and National Park Foundation.
