Dupont Underground Tour (Members Only)

DCPL Members are invited to join us Friday, January 21st at 10:00am for an in-person tour of Dupont Underground!
Built in 1949, the 74,000 square foot streetcar station was part of the larger Capital Transit Project to ease congestion around Dupont Circle. By 1962, when the streetcars ceased working, the underground was abandoned with a brief opening as a food court in 1995. Join us to learn more about how the non-profit, Dupont Underground, has transformed this unique space into a cultural platform for diverse forms of artistic and creative expression.
COVID Safety Requirements: The safety of our guests is of the utmost importance to us and for this reason, DCPL is requiring that all participants be fully vaccinated. Proof of vaccination will be required upon arrival at the event. Vaccination card or picture of card will be accepted. Masks are also required for this event, regardless of vaccination status.
