
Jesse Carlson is a Washington, D.C. attorney who has been active in historic preservation matters since graduating from Georgetown University Law Center in 2003. Prior to joining the board, Mr. Carlson briefed and argued multiple cases before the D.C. Court of Appeals as counsel to DCPL, including Embassy Real Estate Holdings, LLC v. Mayor’s Agent for Historic Preservation (as amicus curia), and before the Mayor’s Agent for Historic Preservation, including In re World Mission Society, Inc. (Church of God). Mr. Carlson is currently Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Strategic Funding Source, Inc. and previously served as Counsel in the FDIC’s Legal Division, practiced at Williams & Connolly LLP, and served as the Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable John M. Rogers of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He received his undergraduate degree as a dual major in History and Government from Colby College.
