Greta Fuller, a 19-year resident of Historic Anacostia, is a founding member of the Historic Anacostia Preservation Society (HAPS), a volunteer organization dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and revival of the Anacostia Historic District. Ms. Fuller proudly served five terms as the ANC Commissioner for Historic Anacostia. She led the efforts on a wide range of issues impacting her community, ranging from becoming one of the lead advocates of the “We Are Anacostia” campaign to bring Busboys and Poets to a vacant 1920s building in Anacostia’s commercial corridor; to speaking out against demolition by neglect and the issue of blighted properties, which plague and threaten the safety and well-being of the Anacostia community.
Ms. Fuller is a committed leader, engaging in community development and historic preservation efforts in Ward 8. She works diligently to ensure the community is informed about development, grants, historic guidelines, and where to find information about historic preservation and how it pertains to the homeowner and community.
With over 25 years of experience, Ms. Fuller is an engineer by trade, having received her bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University. She has also dedicated herself to alternative and healthy medicine, receiving her Doctorate in Oriental Medicine from the Maryland University of Integrated Health
