Join DCPL, the Rock Creek Conservancy, and Rock Creek Park for a tour of the Carter Barron Amphitheater. Opened in 1950, the Carter Barron Amphitheater played host to big-name entertainers such as Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Ray Charles. This tour will guide you through the 4,200 seat performance venue and teach you about the historic site’s history and future. The tour will take place on paved walking trails and last about 90 minutes. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather.
